Kalb Construction completed a full tenant improvement for Ruby’s Shake Shop, transforming an empty suite with no slab or utilities into a fully operational fast-casual restaurant in just 14 weeks. The finished space combines efficient kitchen flow, modern data systems, and a welcoming design that reflects the brand’s fun, upbeat personality.

  • Challenges Overcome

    This project came with significant scheduling challenges due to national shipping delays for key mechanical and kitchen components, including HVAC units, walk-in refrigeration, and specialized cooking equipment. Despite these setbacks, the Kalb team adapted quickly to keep progress moving.

  • Team Coordination

    Through long hours, stacked trades, and multiple seven-day workweeks, crews worked efficiently to stay ahead of each delay. Clear communication and tight sequencing allowed the team to prepare the site for operations just two weeks past the original target, ensuring the client could begin staff training on schedule.

  • Design and Performance

    The 2,012-square-foot layout was designed for high-volume service and long-term reliability. The restaurant integrates the latest kitchen technology, data connectivity, and energy-efficient systems to support fast, consistent operations.

  • Impact

    Ruby’s Shake Shop officially opened its doors to the public on August 14, 2025, bringing a new destination for classic shakes and quick bites to the Henderson community.
